Diary of Events

  • Entries close and must be received before 5:00pm on Wednesday 17th February 2010. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. CLICK HERE to download the Artist Entry Form
  • All works to be delivered to the Crystal Theatre Portland on Wednesday 3rd March between 8:15am and 11:00am. LATE DELIVERIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  
  • Exhibition closes Sunday 7th March 2010 at 4:00pm.
  • Collection of unsold works Sunday 7th March 2010 from 4:30 to
     6.00pm. 
    NO LATE COLLECTIONS PLEASE & WE HAVE NO STORAGE SPACE.

EXHIBITION DETAILS

Exhibitors, partners and friends are invited to attend the exhibition.

  • Friday 5th March 2010 7:00pm to 10:30pm. Official opening 8:30pm.
  • Saturday 6th March 10:30am to 5:00pm.
  • Sunday 7th March  10:30am to 4:00pm.

    Art Director's Choice Award ($250)to be judged by Richard Perram Director of Bathurst Art Gallery.
    People Choice Award ($250) and both will be announced at 2.00pm Sunday

Conditions of Entry for 2010

1. Art submitted must be the original work of the entrant and must be for sale. (any medium, plus etchings will be accepted)
2. Entries are limited to three paintings per person.   fee of $5 per work - Or miniatures limited to 9 paintings with a fee of $5 for 3 works.
3. Each painting must be suitably finished and ready for immediate hanging.
4. No wet paintings allowed.
5. Details to be displayed on back of painting: Artist’s name, address, title of work and price.
6. The max. size of any painting including the frame, shall be 1.3 sq. m.
Miniatures - painted surface 10cm x 10cm approx and framed size 20cm x 20cm approx.

8. Paintings are to be delivered and despatched to and from the Crystal Theatre, Wolgan Street, Portland NSW at the expense of the artist. See Diary of events for dates.
9. The exhibitor is responsible for arranging insurance for their work if desired.  Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure the security of paintings the Portland Art. Soc. Inc can not accept responsibility for damage to, or loss of paintings arising out of entry or participation.
A commission fee of 20% will be deducted from the sale price on all works sold.
10. An entry fee of $5.00 for each painting submitted, must accompany the entry form. Please make Cheque or Money order payable to Portland Art Society Inc. 3 Miniatures are counted as one painting. CLICK HERE to download the Artist Entry Form
11. All entries will be seen by the Portland Art Purchase Society Selection Committee and advisor but will be exhibited at their discretion. A limited number of paintings can be hung. Judges decision final.
12. This exhibition is not an art show and there is no associated prize money.
